Hi Mariners Fans,

What an eventful time since our last members update!

Central Coast Mariners Update

Since our last update we've seen Trent Sainsbury depart to The Netherlands, Daniel McBreen transferred to a Chinese club and the Mariners make a number of key signings. Eddy Bosnar and Kim Seung-yong headline the new players while Isaka Cernak, Glen Trifiro and Matt Sim round out the men Phil Moss has added to the squad. Isaka, Eddy, Kim have all now made appearances in the team and both Matt and Glen have played in our National Youth team. Due to suspensions related to accumulation of yellow cards, we expect it's likely we'll see at least Matt make an appearance in this Friday night's fixture against Wellington Phoenix.

A special mention goes to Mile Sterjovski who announced he will be retiring at the end of this season. Mile has enjoyed a long and distinguished career including plenty of Socceroos appearances. Aside from his obvious on-field exploits for our club, we'd like to thank Mile for the professional way he has provided leadership and guidance to our young players since his arrival. Many of you would also have experienced his approachability and friendliness in his interactions with our fans. Thanks Mile!

Official Supporters Club Progress Update

Members of the OSC committee continue to maintain close contact with the club, discussing a range of your issues and feedback with management, and we're pleased we're seeing how a range of your feedback has not only been embraced, but has improved our match day atmosphere and the entertainment value of a night out at a Mariners game.

We continue to refer concerns raised about stadium food and drink service to the club

We were very pleased to see changes to the cannon firing process which are giving it the prominent position we think it deserves:

An improved firing display in terms of both the sound and visibility via additional fireworks

The display of the cannon firing on the FOX TV coverage of the match which we've been requesting since its first arrival

We have discussed your feedback around the players interaction with fans after matches

Don't forget, we love to bring your feedback and suggestions to the attention of the club so if you'd like us to raise something with them, please email us so we can include it.

If you haven't already done so, could you please take a moment to help Council and the OSC regarding activity outside the stadium at our matches by completing the survey at the below link.

Friday night matches can be a difficult time for fans on the Central Coast, with the number of locals who commute for work and so forth. Never the less, we hope to see a great turn out on Friday when our boys come home to take on Wellington Phoenix. There has never been a more important time to let the players know you're behind them, so we hope to see you there.
