Thanks again for the many suggestions you gave us for a colloquial name. We had an overwhelming response to our request with more than forty suggestions made. The Official Supporters Club committee voted on all of your suggestions and the shortlist is finally in.

Who could forget the scenes in Melbourne when most of the more than 95000 people at the MCG for the Victory v's Liverpool match sung "You'll Never Walk Alone" in unison pre match?
Both the Central Coast Mariners FC and the Official Supporters Club think we need our own club song. Over the past eight seasons we've had several attempts at songs but none of them have captured the imagination of you the fans. We think with your help we can change that this year.
It can be any song you think suits who we are. It could be about our team, our club, our community, our location, our yellow colour or any other thing you think is perfect for your team and your fan mates. Most importantly it needs to be something every Mariners fan, young and old, can sing and enjoy singing it loud and proud.
We'd love to be ready to try and get all our fans to sing it together for the first time at our round 3 home fixture versus Adelaide United so we're asking for your suggestions by the same date as your name vote – midnight Friday, 29th September 2013.
The OSC committee will review all your ideas and come up with a shortlist for you to vote on.
