Hello Fans of the A-League Champions,

The Mariners most successful season ever came to an end this week when the team went down to Guangzhou Evergrande FC in the knockout phase of the Asian Champions League, but this is not the end it's just the beginning. Since the last Official Supporters Club update much has happened and there is still a lot to look forward to in the near future.

On the field our team won the A-League Championship, its first away ACL fixture and progressed to the knockout stage of that tournament for the first time. We hosted (if not the biggest) one of the biggest budget clubs in Asia at Bluetongue Stadium (Guangzhou Evergrande), and one of the most decorated managers in world football (Marcello Lippi).

Off the field Gosford City Council hosted the incredible ticker tape parade for our team and it showed that the level of support for our team among locals has never been more positive. Our new owner spoke of his plans to meet and speak with the fans in his efforts to improve the connection between the community and our club.

Along with our success comes a massive chance for us all to build on that fantastic platform and to take our chance to keep our club the most successful on and off the field for many years to come. We can do it if we all work together.

Since our last update, the Central Coast Mariners Official Supporters Club has received written recognition of that club endorsed status in a letter from the Mariners chairman, completed the initial constitution which will form the basis of its future and begun to form plans for the initial AGM and launch. Anyone on the Central Coast Mariners membership email distribution list or who has reviewed membership options on the Mariners website will also have noticed the opportunity for those signing up to check a box and signal their wish to remain abreast of what's happening with the Official Supporters Club.

In the next week the group will meet with the Mariners to discuss plans during the off-season and next A-League season and we expect to begin to formalise many of those plans in the coming weeks. A key element of our planning will be to survey you all to find out what you want to see happening around relating with your club, and right now that begins with asking for your help.

If you have spare time, love your club and are prepared to volunteer your free time to help the club with any of its plans, please email us as soon as possible and let us know. We will begin to form a register of volunteers early next week.

If you or any Mariners fan you know have not done so already, don't forget to register your interest by emailing us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
